Close To My Heart has the perfect stamp set to celebrate National Ugly Sweater Day. It’s called Ugly Sweater. Not only does it offer the opportunity to customize your own ugly sweater, but it also has fabulous sentiments to go along with it.
I love all the pieces of this set. It gives so much flexibility and personality. Sadly, this particular stamp set will be retiring soon. You have until December 31st to grab your own Ugly Sweater Stamp Set before it’s gone. You can find it and all your other favorite Close To My Heart products on my ONLINE CTMH STORE.
What makes your heart happy? For us, there’s an easy answer: papercrafting! Whatever type of papercrafting you like best, you will be delighted by the new Heart Happy Collection, featuring an exclusive paper packet, sticker sheet, cardstock pack, and stamp set!
Today’s card is another quick card design with a simple technique to add a special touch to it. To achieve the Ombre Effect, ink up your stamp image as usual and then stamp it on a piece of scratch paper (this would become Second Generation Stamping if you then stamped the lighter tone on your project.) Before stamping it on your project, re-ink the bottom portion of your sentiment. Then stamp it as desired on your project. Simple, right?
The nice thing about this technique is that you don’t need to limit yourself to one color as I did in this card. You could use 2 similar shades to get another fun effect. And with 40 colors offered by Close To My Heart, you’re sure to find the perfect shades for your project. To see all 40 colors offered, visit my ONLINE CTMH STORE.

Every year I have grand plans of creating wonderful handmade gifts for friends and family. And inevitably every year, time gets away from me and I don’t accomplish nearly as much as I’d like! Sound familiar?!? This year with the help of Close To My Heart’s newest exclusive Cricut Collection–Season of Joy (only available as a digital collection; and only thru the end of the month!) I’d say I’m a bit more successful in my maker mode!
Does your family participate in the wildly popular Elf on the Shelf tradition? Well do I have a super fun idea for you! Stacy Julian shared an adorable Elf on the Shelf Story Starter Album on her blog last week.
