This layout features elements from all our *NEW* Collections–Something Fierce, I Heart Us, So Much Happy and Feels Like Home. Not only do our paper collections have patterns that coordinate beautifully within the one collection–but they look great across the collections as well!
I hope you are inspired by this beautiful layout. Enjoy Inspire Your Heart with Art Day!
Today’s card shows off a technique I love to do–combine sentiments/images to create my own patterned paper. That’s what I did with the Kraft Paper–I used the January Stamp of the Month, Card Captions, and created my own custom patterned paper.
Want a stamp set that is so simple in beauty but makes such a big impact on your projects? Close To My Heart’s *NEW* Dandelion Wishes Stamp Set is the answer!
Have you ordered your Heart Happy Paper yet? I am in LOVE with all the designs in this paper pack! It’s actually sad that these papers are only going to be available through February (or while supplies last!)

Don’t you love it when you get a great deal on something? Maybe it was something you’ve had your eye on and suddenly it’s on sale! Or maybe it’s a trick a friend shows you that adds value to something you already own. Well, that’s what I’m going to share with you today. A fun and easy trick to get double the benefit out of your twine.
Today’s card is another quick card design with a simple technique to add a special touch to it. To achieve the Ombre Effect, ink up your stamp image as usual and then stamp it on a piece of scratch paper (this would become Second Generation Stamping if you then stamped the lighter tone on your project.) Before stamping it on your project, re-ink the bottom portion of your sentiment. Then stamp it as desired on your project. Simple, right?
The nice thing about this technique is that you don’t need to limit yourself to one color as I did in this card. You could use 2 similar shades to get another fun effect. And with 40 colors offered by Close To My Heart, you’re sure to find the perfect shades for your project. To see all 40 colors offered, visit my ONLINE CTMH STORE.
I love snow. And snowflakes. A lot actually. I’m drawn to snowflake stamp sets, dies, wrapping paper–you name it. If it has snowflakes, I most likely will love it! So now that I no longer see it regularly like I did when I grew up in the Midwest, I relish the opportunity to use it in my crafting! 🙂
This month’s Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month, Seasonal Trees, offers the chance to try out some really fun techniques with it. For this month’s Technique Time Class, I taught the ladies the Bokeh technique using the stamp set. Even though we all had the same supplies, each of our cards turned out a little different–so awesome!
