I love snow. And snowflakes. A lot actually. I’m drawn to snowflake stamp sets, dies, wrapping paper–you name it. If it has snowflakes, I most likely will love it! So now that I no longer see it regularly like I did when I grew up in the Midwest, I relish the opportunity to use it in my crafting! 🙂
This month’s Close To My Heart Stamp of the Month, Seasonal Trees, offers the chance to try out some really fun techniques with it. For this month’s Technique Time Class, I taught the ladies the Bokeh technique using the stamp set. Even though we all had the same supplies, each of our cards turned out a little different–so awesome!
It’s been a pretty busy week for me as I’ve been preparing for a school craft fair today. I made a bunch of these popcorn ornaments as I love the creative look to them. I haven’t made them in years. In fact, if you want to make some of your own, I did a popcorn ornament tutorial 8 years ago (wow, 8 years! )
Shaker cards are so fun to create. And now with Close To My Heart’s Shaker Window & Confetti Thin Cuts dies, they are super easy to create as well!
Today’s card is one I received from one of my Close To My Heart team members, Deb Mandac. It’s a wonderful example of a simple yet stunning Gate Fold Card.

Today I’m sharing this fabulous 5-minute video showing you how easy it can be to center and align your scrapbook titles. I love how it shows the benefits of our VersaMat (from using it as a ruler/grid to utilizing it’s spongy back side for stamping.)
If you’d like to purchase any of the items showcased in this video, here are direct links to each product.
Today’s card is one that shows how quickly a card can come together with Close To My Heart’s coordinating products.
Today’s project is one where the name is simply so deceiving–it’s called the Impossible Card but truthfully it’s so impossibly simple to do! Usually, my love of crafting resonates strongly with my daughter but this card was way more in my son’s wheelhouse this time around. This design is based on a popular magic trick called the Hypercard Illusion trick and is one he himself has done (but it didn’t look as pretty!) Today I’m going to show you how simple it is to do so you can create your own.
