Marbling Technique With Your Alcohol Markers
Did you know that you can do a Marbling Technique with your Alcohol Markers? It’s true and it’s so easy, too! I did the technique with the large heart in my card above. The beauty of this technique is that every time you do it, it will look completely different. Even if you try to get a duplicate, the process is so organic that you will ultimately have some differences.
You only need a few supplies. Here’s what you’ll want to grab:
Isopropyl Alcohol (Rubbing Alcohol)
a few coordinating Alcohol Markers
paintbrush with small dish/cup or Water Painters
Here’s a short video showing you how to do this Ink Marbling Technique as well as how to create this Fun Fold Card.
Easy technique, right? This Saturday I’ll be posting another video on my YouTube Channel showcasing this technique in another way. Inspired by the beauty of dyed Easter eggs, I’m using this technique to create a little Peek-a-Boo Box filled with Hershey Chocolate Bunnies. Here’s a sneak peek of the project.
Not only are you getting a sneak peek of Saturday’s project, but you’re also seeing a NEW Stampin’ Up! product that will release on March 3rd. It’s absolutely adorable. I’m so smitten with it! It’s called Cutest Crew. And it definitely lives up to it’s name, right?
It’s time to get more use and value out of your alcohol markers. They can do more than just color in your stamped images. And I know I love it when I can find more uses for my tools.
Now that you’ve seen how easy it is to do the Marbling Technique with your alcohol markers, are you going to give it a try?
