Perks of Being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator

Last week was Stampin’ Up!’s Annual Convention—OnStage—and it made me stop and think about the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. A lot of times when people discuss the perks of becoming a demonstrator they immediately think of the discount if you’re doing it to save money on your hobby. Or the money you could make if you’d like to make it a business—whether full-time or a side hustle. And, of course these are very important perks so I’ll be discussing them a little later. But first, I wanted to discuss some of the other perks that are just as awesome, but maybe not ones that always enter the equation when deciding whether or not to join the Stampin’ Up! family.

Stampin’ Up! offers events & trainings for demonstrators to hone their creative and business skills. Attending OnStage is one of these opportunities to do both. Not only are you able to receive training from corporate staff, but also from fellow demonstrators. You’d be amazed at the wealth of information and knowledge you can gain just by chatting with your fellow demonstrators—whether they are friends you’ve had for years or new ones you’ve just met. It’s a great opportunity to ask questions of people who may have skills or strengths outside of your areas of strength. For some, this is an absolutely amazing benefit. Those little golden nuggets of wisdom!

Additionally—and perhaps one of the most celebrated perks of OnStage—getting to see AND play with NEW products before anyone else. Above are the 5 new In-Colors for 2026 - 2028. Aren’t they so beautiful! I love them all! This is a first for me—loving all 5 In-Colors! And perhaps what I’m most excited about with these new colors—they are going to be in the amazing magnetic ink pad containers from Close To My Heart! Stampin’ Up! purchased the design from CTMH when they went out of business a couple of years ago. If you’ve never used these ink pads before, you are in for a real treat! They are SO easy to open—even using just one hand! The magnetic closure is strong enough to keep them closed but easy enough to open. They stack together nicely, without tipping over and opening. They have an amazing well in the lid that is perfect for doing watercolor techniques, too.

Do you like getting NEW products before anyone else? Guess what? As a demonstrator you get early access to products. In fact, next week, demonstrators can order new product from the upcoming May - August Catalog as well as the May Online Exclusives. It’s a pretty fun perk. No FOMO here! Plus, we get to hear about other new products coming out before they hit the market. One example of this is the Stampin’ Positioner that demonstrators learned about and could purchase back in January.

Okay, the most common one people reference—the discount or the commission you earn as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator. When you join our family, you start out by earning 20-25% (or saving if you are doing it just as a hobby.) That’s a truly awesome perk for a crafter, right? Who doesn’t like to save on their crafting supplies?! And if you decide you want to make it more of a business or side hustle, that percentage continues to go up.

While there are plenty of other great perks, I’ll end with this one today—you get to create your own Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator Kit! That’s right, you decide what products are put in your kit when you join Stampin’ Up! This is such a HUGE perk in my opinion. If you’ve been a customer for a while, you likely have several supplies already that you don’t need duplicates of if the kit was predetermined for you. This way you can tailor it to your needs. Need more stamp pads? Maybe more cardstock? You can choose anything you like up to $125. Awesome right?

Joining the Stampin’ Up! family as a demonstrator is a very easy process. Complete all your personal information, select the items you want in your Demonstrator Kit, and then click submit. That’s it. Plus it’s shipped to you for FREE! If you have any questions about anything I’ve shared here today, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help. So which of these perks of being a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator is your favorite?
