Easy Way To Add Dimension To Your Handmade Cards
Want an easy way to add dimension to your handmade cards? Look at my party hat in my card above. I simply stamped 2 of the hats and then folded one of them in half.
You then add a small amount of liquid glue along the fold line and adhere it to the flat party hat. It’s nice because it adds dimension and it still goes flat to mail to the recipient!
Want to know how to create the 2 color party hat? It’s a simple technique, too. Ink up your image with your first color. With the flat edges of the ink pad and the close to flat edge of the stripes on the hat, it’s easy to selectively ink up the party hat. I used Lost Lagoon for the stripes. I then used a Sponge Dauber and Secret Sea ink to color the trim of the hat. You then stamp as usual. Now you have an image with 2 colors instead of just 1.
Both of these techniques are very simple and easy to do. Plus, they add some great visual interest to your project. So now that you know an easy way to add dimension to your handmade cards, what shape will you try first with this technique?
