Stampin’ Up!’s Handmade & Heartfelt Card Kit
Do you remember Stampin’ Up!’s Handmade & Heartfelt Card Kit? It’s a great kit that makes 10 cards (2 each of 5 designs) along with an organizer to store all the cards. I love card kits because they are a real time saver. You can create the cards exactly as they were designed like I did with this card from the kit.
But you can also use the kit’s design as a starting point and modify it to your preferences.
That is what I did with this card. I kept the basic design the same. I trimmed down the layers so I could put them on a white card base. I tend to really like the clean look of a white card base. Next I sponged Crumb Cake ink on the seashell die-cuts to give them a little more dimension and texture. And finally I changed up the embellishments a little. I am partial to my version but the original version is nice, too. Plus, it has the benefit of going to get in just a few minutes! Always a nice perk.
Do you change up the designs when you create using card kits? Or do you leave them just as they were designed?
If you didn’t get a chance to grab the Handmade & Heartfelt Card Kit previously, you can grab the French version at a great deal right now. It’s in the Last Chance Products section for less than $20. That’s an amazing deal for 10 cards with envelopes and the sturdy organizer. You’d simply need to add your own English sentiments stamp set (unless of course you know French!) Otherwise everything else is included. You’ve got the card bases, the envelopes, the pre-cut layers, the die-cuts, the embellishments, block, ink pad, stamp set and even the adhesives! It really doesn’t get any easier than a Stampin’ Up! Card Kit!
