The past few days I truly feel as though I’ve been living in Superhero Land! The kids’ Superhero Birthday Party is this Saturday and I’m still finishing off various odds and ends.
Today, with the gracious help of my mother-in-law, I finished off the superhero capes for each of the kiddos. I knew I wanted to have capes for the kids and thought I would do something totally basic like a rectangle of fabric with ribbon stitched on to tie them closed. I decided though that maybe I better research the idea and see if there were any “proven” easy methods before embarking into the unknown. I found a great tutorial HERE.
While my quick snapshot doesn’t do these capes justice (they are bare bones but they still are quite cute on the kids; we did a test run before bagging them up for each of the guests.) I even included the little white circle on the back for each child to decorate to their liking with fabric markers. Should turn out super duper cute! May need to follow up with additional pictures later!
