Here in Northern California we have been spoiled with some exceptionally nice weather this week. Today was so gorgeous that I was inspired to create something. My inspiration actually came from a sugar cookie my son received this past Valentine’s Day.
I used CTMH‘s Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge to create 2 hearts cut at 3-3/4″. I drew a line up the middle with our Black Exclusive Inks Marker and then cut it in half. I added 1/4″ black dots/spots. I used a Black Bigger Brad to secure the two hearts from the back (as shown.)
I strung some Black Waxy Flax through a Black Button and adhered the button to the flattened brad prongs to be the face and antenna for the ladybug. And finally I stamped my “Spring Beauty” sentiment on the inside heart so that when you open the “wings” you can see the sentiment as shown.
The more I use CTMH’s Art Philosophy cartridge, the more I love it. So many fun, creative projects can be made with it. Your only limitation is your imagination! And to think, the cartridge was designed in only 6 months!
