How to turn an Altoid Tin into a Decorative Box

We had a super fun time yesterday at our 2nd Annual CTMH Stamp Camp. September is “National Stamping Month” and what better day to do our Stamp Camp than the 2nd Saturday of the month, which CTMH reserved as “National Stamping Day.”
We created 4 amazing projects: an Explosion Box (aka “Album in a Box”), a Magical Sliding Card, a Tag Album in a Pocket and a Decorative Tin with Coordinating Magnets (pictured below).

This is made from an old Altoids Tin (washed out and then painted with 2 coats of Acrylic Paint). We used our gorgeous new Grace Level 2 Paper along with a very exclusive stamp set “Beautiful Flourish”.
I painted the tins as well as dyed the crocheted flowers ahead of time for the participants.  They got to stamp, distress and adhere to their heart’s content.  The magnets were made by punching out small circles from our gorgeous Grace paper and then adhered using liquid glass to the flat side of the pebbles, followed by more liquid glass to adhere the magnet.
Our event was a huge hit. Everyone had a great afternoon…plus, there were many requests to do the event more often.
