For today’s Make It Monday (19th edition), I’m sharing this fun A Dozen Reasons to Smile Donut Card as part of another Color Challenge. Today I’m challenging you to use the following colors together in a project–Peach, Sage and Mint. All of these colors are so pretty individually. Then you use them together for a project and you get stunning results.
For my A Dozen Reasons to Smile Donut Card I used one of the exclusive Hostess Stamp Sets that are only available through the end of August. It’s called Sprinkled with Love. Isn’t it so adorable?!
I added some Liquid Glass to the donut glaze to give it some shine and dimension. I love it! If you don’t already own some Liquid Glass, you really should! Not only is it an amazing adhesive for metals, ribbons and other embellishments that need a strong hold, but it really is wonderful for using as an embellishment like I’ve done here with my donut.
Inside my card I stamped the “you give me a dozen reasons to smile” sentiment. Next, I stamped the sprinkles border tone-on-tone by using Sage ink on the Sage Cardstock along the base of my card. I finished it by adding a little Peach stamped heart next to my sentiment. It ties in nicely with the heart sprinkles at the base, don’t you think?
I hope you’re feeling inspired to participate in today’s Make It Monday Color Challenge. Most importantly, I encourage you to take in the colors around you. When you see a color combination that you find pleasing, take note of it and create a project using that combination. Have fun creating!
