For this week’s Social Distancing Make It Monday, I’m sharing another FREE scrapbook layout pattern with you. Now that school is out for the summer, you may be looking to document the school year (or perhaps past school years!) This pattern is a great intro page. A pattern to focus on that school photo taken of your child.
I chose to bring out the red in my daughter’s shirt and hair bow so I matted the photo with our Candy Apple Cardstock. From there I decided adding in the soft Peach Pattern with Candy Apple Dots from the Stitched Together Paper Collection would be a nice addition.
I wanted to keep the rest of the layout pretty neutral so I used French Vanilla and Toffee Cardstock for the rest of the layout. To add a little dimension and show off the beautiful 2-tone color we have with our cardstock, I bent down the top left corner of my layout. Our 2-tone cardstock is the best! It gives you twice the color choice with 1 sheet of cardstock. And look at that darling Wood Button! So cute with the etched stitching in it.
Close To My Heart recently released these fun new accessories. The Wood Buttons come with a variety of shapes and sizes. So many fun options! Glue them down just as they are or add some twine through the holes to jazz them up a bit. Or for even more versatility, color them with your alcohol markers to match your project! So many creative possibilities.
And speaking of coloring accessories–have you tried coloring our gems? I took our Gold Glitter Gems and colored them with our Dark Red TriBlend Marker. It’s super simple to do and makes for a great way to tie your project together.
Did you enjoy today’s pattern? Well, if you did, you’ll definitely want to grab the entire Reflections Scrapbook Patterns Book! It’s on clearance for only $5.50! Seriously. A fabulous deal. Most importantly though, I hope you’ll give this scrapbook pattern a try and play along with us on this Social Distancing Make It Monday.
