For this week’s Make It Monday (65th edition), I’m sharing this incredibly sweet Happy Bird-day Card. As soon as I saw this adorable So Tweet Stamp Set in the Close To My Heart May-June Catalog, I was in love. It’s just such a cute set with so much possibility.
You might remember another fun card I created with this set using the girl birdie holding the balloon. It was so fun creating that card. It shows the versatility of this set. With that card I colored her in using our Watercolor Pencils and our Clear Shimmer Brush. It’s a beautiful effect. For today’s card, I kept it a little simpler and simply stamped the bird on our Light Carolina Cardstock. I added in a touch of our TriBlend Markers to give some added depth and shading. But for the most part it was a quick and simple look to achieve.
The card design turned out so nice that I thought it would make for a great card sketch for you today as part of our Make It Monday.
The beauty of a card sketch is that they are so versatile. You can tweak elements of it to fit what you wish to use from your own stash. Have a circle die that you’d like to use in place of the Stitched Fancy Bracket I used? Use it! It’ll still look awesome. Need a slightly longer sentiment strip? Change it up to fit your needs. This is all meant to be a spring board for inspiration.
Feeling inspired? I hope so. Can you see the possibilities with this daring So Tweet Stamp Set? It’s so darn cute! Whether you want to create a card just to say hello or to wish someone a happy birthday, this set has you covered. But instead of saying a traditional happy birthday, you can send them a sweet happy bird-day card!
