Today I’m sharing the Outdoor Borders Thank You Card I created. It’s another fun way to use this month’s Stamp of the Month. You can add a little bit of pattern to any project simply by using these border images. It’s fun and so easy to do.
I used both the true Desert Rose as well as the Light Desert Rose and paired it with a little bit of Cinnamon for a nice contrast. The stamping is a bit tone-on-tone since I used Desert Rose ink on the Light Desert Rose Cardstock. I remember when Close To My Heart introduced Desert Rose as a new color. They said it worked well as a neutral color. It seemed weird at first to hear that. But the more I play with the color, the more I find that to be true.
My sentiment for the card comes from the Floral Borders & Sentiments Stamp Set. It’s SO beautiful. One might say it’s almost a crime that I only used a sentiment from this set for my card! The floral borders are stunning. And if you love to color–they offer the perfect opportunity to do so. To create the focal point with my sentiment, I used our Stitched Fancy Brackets Thin Cuts. The long vertical shape added a nice contrast to the horizontal lines of my cardstock strips.
