I have a challenge for you! I encourage you to send a handmade card to someone either this weekend or this coming week–just because! Just because it will brighten their day. It will also brighten your day knowing you helped make someone else feel special. I’ve just mailed a couple handmade cards myself.
Leave a comment below and let us know if you accept this challenge. 🙂
At first glance Close To My Heart’s March Stamp of the Month, This Happened, seems like it could only be used to create scrapbook layouts. Well, today I have a card I created with this stamp set that shows that you can make cards with this set, too!
We just wrapped up our Annual Crazy for Cards Event almost 2 weeks ago and we are already working our magic to prepare for our Annual Spring Fling Event. Registration is now open. Mark your calendars for May 11th! Save a little money and register during our Early Bird registration period!
It’s only 2 weeks away! The Santa Clara Stamp & Scrapbook Expo will be on Friday, August 3rd and 4th and I’ll be hosting a Close To My Heart Booth again. If you’re in the area, you’ll definitely want to stop by and see all our amazing products as well as our fabulous Make & Take projects we have designed for you!
We can’t wait to see you there!
This past Saturday my daughter had the opportunity to attend a Red Carpet Event with her Girl Scout troop along with 17 other troops. Each troop created their own movie and this event was the premier showing of those movies (luckily they could each only be 3-5 minutes otherwise with 18 movies to watch it would be quite the marathon!)
Abner Doubleday, who invented the game of baseball, was born on June 26th, 1819.
To mark the occasion, I created this card. Of course, I meant to share it yesterday when it was actually the day of his birth. But life happens as it does for all of us. So, I guess it’s a little belated!
This is a fun card design from CTMH’s Cricut Artiste Collection (now retired.) It has a little pocket/holder insert perfect for a gift card. So you could stuff a gift card to a favorite restaurant, store or whatnot. Or you could tuck a pair of baseball tickets inside!
I love the Twist and Pop style cards. They definitely aren’t the thinnest card to mail, but they have such a fun “wow” factor to them which makes them so irresistible to make!
This birthday twist and pop card is one we are creating in this month’s Technique Time Class. I love the bright cheery colors in CTMH’s *NEW* Some Kinda Wonderful Paper Pack.
This card actually uses quite a bit of the papers from this particular pack. It really shows them off beautifully I think.
The balloons were cut with CTMH’s Cricut Artiste Collection (I absolutely love this collection!!)
Here’s a complete listing of products I used to create the card:

My kids are approaching the end of the Fall Soccer Season (thankfully!) While it’s always fun to watch them make new friends and learn to play as a team each season, it’s always a relief when the end is in sight. Fall is especially hard with the start of school and all the weekly activities unfolding; then you add in 2 kids worth of weekly soccer practice and 2 games each weekend and it completely wears you out!
This weekend is the final game so I made up a couple of soccer cards to thank their coaches. I made both cards using the now retired Play Hard Soccer Stamp Set.
I also used the now retired Diamond Embossing Folder which is actually on clearance–while supplies last! It’s perfect for making a net background!
Plus, there are several other great Embossing Folders also on Clearance. Check out all the CTMH Clearance Items on MY ONLINE CTMH STORE and get ’em before they’re gone!
